The Lawson Festival is a wonderful annual event that first began in 2006.
It is inspired by local volunteers who meet as a committee to plan and facilitate a huge range of fun activities for all ages. We have two themes for the Festival focusing on Made in the Mid Mountains and Sustainability.
This year's 2009 festival will be on Friday 13th to Sunday 15th November and we are currently developing a fun packed program. Some of the activities this year will include:-
- Performances by our talented local artists including King Curly, Christmas Swamp Band, Swamp Singers, school children's performances, Imogen Clark, Spiral, Blue-MUG Eukele Group, Sarah Jane Spillane, the Danubes and more....
- Carnavale Workshops - King Parrot Samba Percussions, Ghawazi Caravan Tribal Dance, Hyde and Clay Arabic Drumming
